STOP BY THIS SITE FOR A PICK-ME-UP :)

Here is a great site for daily reminders and messages for self-care, created by artist Kate Allan.

One of my favorites! :)

WHY ARE PRONOUNS IMPORTANT

This site is a resource hub for understanding and talking about the importance of pronouns.

ETHICAL NON-MONOGAMY

I have personal and professional experience working with consensual non-monogamy (CNM) and polyamory (polyam) in relational therapy. I am also currently writing my doctoral dissertation on a topic related to CNM.

I would be happy to work with you on navigating your relationship if you are thinking about opening up or starting a polyamorous relationship constellation, provide a space to receive affirming/inclusive care, or answer any questions you might have if you are curious and looking to learn.

If you would like to learn more or are currently exploring/participating in an CNM relationship, you may want to check out this podcast called "Multiamory":

PLAY THERAPY

When working with children, play therapy is one of the most effective treatment styles. The techniques in play therapy allow for children, teens, and even adults to help express themselves more easily through metaphor and experiential learning. Play is also a great way to communicate more complex subjects in ways that are easier to understand.

Here is an article by a teacher about the importance of play in the life of children, which I thought was great! Play should never be underestimated!

ASEXUALITY

Ever wonder what the "A" stands for in LGBQIA+? The answer is: ASEXUALITY! I have a lot of personal and professional experience regarding this sexual identity and would be more than happy to speak to you further about this whether this is how you identify, you're questioning, or you have a loved one who identifies as ace.

While the best place to start to learn more is The Asexuality Visibility and Education Network (AVEN) at: https://www.asexuality.org/, I am also going to include a link to one of my favorite descriptions of asexuality below!

PREPARE/ENRICH

I am a certified PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator. The PREPARE/ENRICH is the #1 research-based assessment to help committed partners "gain a deeper understanding of dynamics, personality, stress and strength and growth areas".

I am currently offering this service in addition to relational therapy services and would be more than happy to incorporate this assessment in a way that works for you and your needs. To learn more, please visit the site below.
